NZEdgeClient: NZEdge The redesign of the NZEdge.com site centred around creating a much more engaging and iconic homepage that embodied the NZEdge spirit. The new homepage features a randomly ordered photo slideshow, an MP3 player (featuring choice NZ tunes of course) and a dynamic international timezone map - all are updatable via a simple XML backend. Investment NZ interactive mapsClient: Investment New Zealand These interactive Flash based maps were designed to quickly give access to a lot of information - and all in one place. One map displays INZ office locations on a world map and lets viewers see the contact details for each office as well as current time of day there - with adjustments for daylight savings. The other gives an overview of New Zealand's core infrastructure by visually overlaying different sets of information on a map of New Zealand. The user can then literally zoom into to see more information including detailed information on New Zealand's main cities. All maps created are customisable and editable via an XML backend. Test the Nation 2004Client: BBC The UK's end of year Test the Nation television quiz show was aired on BBC on the 19th of December 2004. A cut down version of the test was used to promote the show leading up to the night. On the night the full quiz was available online so viewers at home could participate and be in with a chance of called up during the show and winning prizes. Roles within a team:

The Match - Celebrity Football Club gameClient: Sky One 'Instant satisfaction' could also be the name of this game created to support the hype over the new, very British, reality TV show 'The Match'. Although simple in concept, the game features some nice ball physics, collision detection, parallel scrolling and sound effects to add to the game's comic nature and appeal. Roles within a team:

Inland RevenueClient: Inland Revenue (New Zealand) The redesign of Inland Revenue's site needed to be approachable and intuitive to a very broad user base, and promote the use of the increasing number of online tools. Through a process of user testing and design iteration we able to come up with design that would feel intuitive while also raising awareness of the site's powerful functionality. The site has already scooped awards for 'Best Government or Community Website' and the 'People’s Choice' award in the 2006 NetGuide Awards, as well as being a finalist in the 2005 TUANZ Award's 'Information' category. America's Cup 2002 Interactive MapClient: Tourism New Zealand The America's Cup is a prestigious international sailing event. This interactive map enabled event goers to find out more about the venue location and nearby attractions. Integration into the site's Cold Fusion based CMS meant that elements of the map could be linked to directly by individual racing syndicates. Roles:

Included design and template development expanding Tourism New Zealand's already large scale CMS to support multiple foreign languages (i.e. Chinese, Japanese, Korean and German). While I was at Shift the site was awarded 'Best Travel Site' at the 2003 NetGuide Awards, 'Bronze' in the 2002 I.D.
