Hello everyone!. Sorry about being so lazy and not adding anything to this site as yet.
Anyway, we are in Thailand again, but I just wanted to say a few things about our time in Australia with Jess and the Function boys. They had their CD release while we were these so it was great to be there for that, and I now have a couple of function songs going
through my head all the time. I am not sure if they have a web site, but their label's site is below, and talks about them a bit if your interested.
Brisbane seems actually quite nice. It had that almost tropical feel for me, and people have absurdly large houses. There are hordes of evil and gigantic spiders lurking everywhere though (no doubt extremely aggressive and poisoness or course), so Grant and myself were prudent in walking along the roads instead of the footpaths (their webs were everywhere..) This was merely a precaution of course and has nothing to do with us being scared of little spiders (they were not little...). We got stopped by Police in Brisbane, and the Police were really nice, which is quite opposite to what I was expecting given the fabulous reputation of the Brisbane men and woman and blue, so a big ups to the nice Police that we encountered.
Thanks shitloads for the little traveling game set Bec's!, it has seen much use. The game scores are currently three all for chess, and drafts is something slightly in Grants favour, but there is no need to tally scores for that one I think....
Anyway, we are now in Thailand, and it's out first day here. We are acquainting ourselves deeply into Thai culture by watching the Matrix Reloaded (in a Thai Cinema) in about 30 minutes. I had trouble, kind of, finding vegetarian food, but it ended up being the best mixed veggies on rice I have had in a while. My Thai is pretty crap, but coming back a wee bit.
They have Red Bull "Xtra" here, and also blue fanta. Anyway, that's the western product highlight update so far.
Not really sure what the plans are for the next few days as yet, but I'm really looking forward to seeing my old Thai host family again, which should be tomorrow. Take care everyone!!.
